PrimeWest Energy Trust Announces Filing of 2004 Year End Disclosure Documents

    CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - March 31, 2005) - PrimeWest Energy 
Trust (TSX:PWI.UN) (TSX:PWX) (TSX:PWI.DB.A) (TSX:PWI.DB.B) (NYSE:PWI) 
(PrimeWest) announces that it has filed its Annual Information Form 
("AIF"), audited annual financial statements, MD&A and Annual Report for 
the year ended December 31, 2004 with Canadian regulatory authorities on 
the System for Electronic Document Analysis and Retrieval ("SEDAR") in 
Canada. PrimeWest has also filed its Form 40-F, including the above 
noted documents with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on the 
Electronic Gathering, Analysis and Retrieval System ("EDGAR") in the 
United States. 

The AIF contains statements and reports pertaining to oil and natural 
gas reserves data and other information required under National 
Instrument 51-101 ("NI-51-101") of the Canadian Securities 
Administrators. This news release is reporting these filings as required 
by NI 51-101.
